Base Salary
$143k - $186k/yr
Responsibilities
- Prototype and evaluate kernels, file systems, drivers, networking, and other advanced systems software concepts.
- Design, implement, and optimize low-level system components for strict real-time performance and safety requirements.
- Contribute to systems software architecture and guide technical decisions for smart electric vehicle infrastructure.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to transition prototypes into reliable, production-ready deployments.
- Diagnose and resolve system-level performance, memory, stability, and dependability issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with operating system internals, virtualization, or system security.
- Practical experience with at least one of x86, Arm, or RISC-V computer architectures.
- Proficiency in C, assembly, and/or Rust.
- Ability to navigate, debug, and improve complex low-level codebases.
- Strong troubleshooting, independent problem-solving, and team communication skills.
- Preferred qualifications include a Master’s or Ph.D., systems research experience, kernel or hypervisor development, RTOS or network stack experience, microkernel or automotive safety-critical OS exposure, formal verification familiarity, and ISO 26262 familiarity.
Benefits
- US base salary range is $143,200.00–$186,000.00, excluding discretionary bonus, equity, and benefits.
