Responsibilities
- Build and evaluate AI-assisted workflows for hardware and software engineering applications.
- Develop tools integrating LLMs and AI agents with compilers, simulators, profilers, and validation frameworks.
- Automate engineering workflows through candidate generation, validation, evaluation, and structured feedback.
- Collaborate with engineers and researchers to define correctness, performance, and engineering productivity metrics.
- Contribute to evaluation datasets, benchmarking, and experiment tracking.
- Improve prompts, retrieval systems, and tool interfaces for AI agents.
- Analyze workflow performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and automation.
- Document technical designs, experimental results, and implementation details.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a PhD program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- Programming experience in Python.
- Coursework or hands-on experience in artificial intelligence or computer systems.
- Familiarity with PyTorch or similar machine learning frameworks.
- Interest in and familiarity with AI-assisted software development, LLMs, AI agents, or engineering productivity tools.
Benefits
- Full-time, 40-hour-per-week hybrid or onsite work in Santa Clara, California, for the internship term.
