Base Salary
$176k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance to business and engineering teams, align priorities, unblock delivery, and drive engineering outcomes.
- Develop secure, high-quality production code, lead code reviews, and improve code written by others.
- Drive architecture and design decisions across product design, application functionality, technical operations, and SDLC practices.
- Build and operate production-grade LLM applications using agentic patterns, tool integrations, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
- Design and deliver scalable cloud-native services on AWS using container and serverless architectures.
- Implement RAG solutions with embeddings, semantic search, and context engineering.
- Build secure, performant, maintainable service APIs and integrations.
- Drive adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices, including validation standards, automation, auditability, and secure data handling.
- Apply SDLC toolchain knowledge and approved AI-assisted development capabilities to improve automation at scale.
- Evaluate new technologies, resolve complex technical problems, mentor engineers, and influence technical roadmaps.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Strong Python engineering skills and experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Expertise with vector storage systems and designing agent memory.
- Experience developing long-running autonomous agents using tools, skills, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
- Proven experience deploying LLM-backed APIs and microservices to production.
- Deep MLOps experience, including deployment automation, monitoring, incident response, and model governance.
- Cloud-native AI deployment experience on AWS or Azure, including cost and performance optimization.
- Experience with responsible AI, operational excellence, secure handling of sensitive data, and risk-based governance.
- Experience designing and leading adoption of agentic AI-enabled development practices across teams.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across product, risk, legal, and compliance functions.
- Preferred experience with fine-tuning, adapters, custom evaluation frameworks, prompt engineering, LLM orchestration, safety filters, audit logging, explainability, and regulated environments.
- Preferred experience mentoring senior engineers and leading architecture discussions.
