Base Salary
$121k - $182k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable Java applications using Spring Boot microservices.
- Implement REST, asynchronous messaging, service-to-service integrations, fault tolerance, and Spring Cloud components.
- Build event-driven systems using Kafka for asynchronous communication, event streaming, and decoupled processing.
- Apply Java concurrency and multithreading expertise to build safe and performant systems.
- Perform performance tuning, profiling, optimization, latency and throughput improvements, memory optimization, and GC tuning as needed.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and developers to translate requirements into microservices technical designs.
- Participate in analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade microservices and monolithic systems as part of a migration strategy.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in systems analysis and application programming.
- 3–6 years of professional Java development experience with strong proficiency in Java and JDK 8+.
- Demonstrable experience designing, developing, and deploying microservices with Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
- Proven experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and understanding microservices architecture patterns.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and version control systems such as GitHub.
- Experience managing and implementing successful projects, with working knowledge of consulting or project management techniques.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban is expected; Snowflake knowledge is a plus.
