Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and develop firewall products and systems aligned with technical strategy, delivery timelines, and product requirements.
- Define and support unit, system, and integration testing; resolve defects, log issues, and assess impacts on related products and systems.
- Conduct and contribute to peer reviews of code, designs, and specifications.
- Partner with Test Leads to define effective product testing strategies.
- Review requirements for completeness, identify ambiguities, and propose alternatives to Product Management.
- Drive adoption of new architectures, technologies, design patterns, and engineering productivity improvements.
- Recommend improvements to engineering standards and processes and own assigned implementation areas.
Requirements
- At least 12 years of progressive experience in enterprise architecture and cybersecurity with hands-on leadership across business, application, data, and technology domains.
- At least 7 years of commercial software experience using C, C++, or Golang, including Linux system and Linux kernel programming.
- At least 7 years of experience in networking, routing, switching, network security, cryptography, TCP/IP, application protocols, virtual and cloud platforms, and high availability.
- Bachelor's or Master of Science degree in Computer Software, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with Linux kernel networking technologies such as eBPF, XDP, netfilter, iptables, conntrack, and ipset is desirable.
- Experience with VPN and secure remote access technologies, including IPsec and SSL VPN, is desirable.
- Experience with microservices architecture, Kubernetes, Docker, and REST-based technologies is desirable.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools for engineering productivity, code quality, debugging, testing, and documentation is desirable.
