Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize high-performance network system architecture and security features.
- Partner with engineering architects, product managers, solution architects, and customers to understand use cases and review product requirements.
- Author design and functional specifications while driving unit testing and automation.
- Collaborate across teams to resolve system-level issues, optimize data path performance, and deliver new features.
- Apply advanced software design and troubleshooting expertise to coach junior team members and maintain compliance with federal security certifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in systems engineering for high-performance networking.
- Expertise in Linux kernel-based L2/L3 networking, stateful firewalls, NAT, network drivers, routing protocols, and networking and security protocols.
- Proficiency in Go and Python with strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with AI tools and active exploration of new technologies to improve workflows and problem-solving.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience with AI/ML frameworks or intelligent data path analysis models.
- Preferred experience with WireGuard, GRE, L2VPN, VRRP, FIPS, FedRAMP, TLS, DTLS, and QUIC.
- Familiarity with AWS or Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, virtualization, and security solutions.
