Responsibilities
- Own and directly implement end-to-end technical architecture for CS&D platforms, including containerized services, CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, and integration layers.
- Lead portfolio-wide evaluation, roadmap development, and production implementation of agentic AI and multi-agent architecture.
- Embed security, audit readiness, change control, GxP/GCP compliance, FDA/EMA requirements, and computer system validation readiness into architecture.
- Evaluate emerging cloud, data, and AI technologies, run proofs of concept, modernize platforms, and retire technical debt.
- Partner with product managers and business stakeholders to translate goals and value streams into technical architecture decisions.
- Hold platform-scoped design and integration decision authority and represent CS&D Technology in architecture and governance forums.
- Conduct code reviews, provide hands-on technical guidance, mentor engineers, and contribute to hiring and technical talent planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
- 12+ years of experience in solution or enterprise architecture or senior technical leadership, including direct and ongoing coding and implementation.
- Experience designing, building, and deploying agentic or AI architecture, evaluating build-versus-buy decisions, and implementing AI/ML technology stacks in production programs.
- Strong hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Advanced proficiency in Python and JavaScript with full-stack experience using React and Node.js.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, search engines, AWS Glue, AWS Data Pipeline, and Redshift Spectrum.
- Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SNS, and AWS SQS for event-driven architecture.
- Ability to design, build, and unit test Spark applications in Python, including PySpark batch and streaming workloads.
- Experience in regulated GxP/GCP environments, computer system validation, inspection readiness, and clinical trial data.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business goals into architecture decisions, mentor engineers, lead technical discussions without formal people-management authority, and lead platform or data migrations.
- Experience representing India-based technical teams in global architecture or governance forums and sequencing multi-year transformation roadmaps.
