Base Salary
$225k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive the technical vision and roadmap for Maven's platform and product teams.
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, performant, and reliable backend systems.
- Design and implement cloud-based solutions supporting system agility, flexibility, and scalability.
- Lead technical design discussions and provide guidance on engineering practices, coding standards, and architecture.
- Collaborate with and lead cross-functional teams in developing customer-focused features and products.
- Mentor mid-level and junior engineers and support continuous technical learning.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and trends to improve engineering innovation and effectiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least eight years of experience in backend development and platform architecture.
- Proven experience building highly scalable, performant, and reliable systems.
- Experience designing complex distributed systems using microservices architecture, containerization, and orchestration.
- Hands-on experience with one or more cloud platforms, including AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Java, Python, and Go.
- Experience building distributed systems with microservices and relational and NoSQL databases.
- Experience leading technical design discussions and guiding best practices, coding standards, and architecture principles.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Ability to deliver high-quality code in a fast-paced environment and mentor junior engineers.
