Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead a three-person AI/ML computer vision team, defining technical direction, sprint goals, coding standards, and model evaluation metrics.
- Design, modify, train, and optimize custom YOLO object-detection models for full-motion video feeds.
- Architect secure pipelines for ingesting, cleaning, preprocessing, and curating production-recorded video data.
- Define annotation and labeling standards and address class imbalance, weather variation, and low-contrast conditions.
- Optimize inference speed and accuracy using GPU-acceleration toolkits and integrate live computer vision inference with broader applications.
- Serve as the AI/ML pod point of contact and translate system requirements into technical work in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related AI/ML-focused field.
- At least 7 years of related technical experience, including at least 4 years developing and deploying deep learning or computer vision models with a focus on object detection.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to pass a CBP background investigation are required.
- Expert-level Python programming and experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, OpenCV, YOLO, CUDA, cuDNN, TensorRT, or ONNX.
- Experience processing RTSP, HLS, and file-based video streams, training models from scratch, tuning hyperparameters, and designing custom anchors or loss functions.
- Experience with data curation, active learning, and annotation tools such as CVAT, LabelStudio, or Roboflow.
- Preferred qualifications include multi-object tracking with DeepSORT or ByteTrack, AWS SageMaker and EC2 GPU instances, NVIDIA Jetson or other edge deployment, and federal or CBP datasets.
