Responsibilities
- Design, build, and evolve client-facing experiences and full-stack services for global loyalty products.
- Own the design, versioning, backward compatibility, staged rollout, and operation of embeddable placements integrated by other teams.
- Lead end-to-end system design covering browser architecture, APIs, data modeling, privacy, consent, performance, and cross-domain constraints.
- Drive technical strategy, integration contracts, ownership boundaries, service levels, and fallback behavior with partner and platform teams.
- Own full-stack features from technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, and operational support.
- Integrate and operate AI and ML-enabled personalization, experimentation, and optimization capabilities in client-side surfaces.
- Collaborate with Product, design, Data Science, platform, and partner engineering teams to deliver pragmatic loyalty solutions.
- Mentor engineers and establish patterns, tooling, and best practices for embedded and partner-surface engineering.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent related professional experience.
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Professional software development experience building and operating full-stack services, including APIs, data models, and web applications.
- Experience owning design and implementation for services or features in multi-service or domain environments with accountability for quality, reliability, and operational readiness.
- Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language and associated frameworks, including the ability to design, review, and debug complex distributed systems.
- Familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, workflows, and applying AI/ML concepts to real-world products.
- Preferred: experience building and shipping client-side SDKs, tags, or embeddable widgets for surfaces owned by other teams or external partners.
- Preferred: strong React and TypeScript front-end experience, including performance optimization for high-traffic consumer surfaces.
- Preferred: backend experience with Java or Node in cloud-native environments.
- Preferred: experience negotiating technical integration contracts and defining ownership boundaries, service levels, and fallback behavior.
- Preferred: familiarity with ad tech, user targeting, experimentation, loyalty, and personalization use cases.
- Preferred: production experience integrating AI or ML capabilities and using Claude, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor.
