Responsibilities
- Design, build, and evolve client-facing experiences and full-stack services for global loyalty products.
- Own the design and evolution of embeddable placements, including versioning, backward compatibility, and safe staged rollouts.
- Lead end-to-end system design spanning browser architecture, APIs, data models, and distributed services.
- Define technical contracts, ownership boundaries, integration points, service levels, and fallback behavior with partner and platform teams.
- Own full-stack features through technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operational support.
- Collaborate with product, design, partner engineering, data science, and platform leaders to deliver loyalty solutions.
- Integrate and operate AI and ML-enabled personalization, experimentation, and optimization capabilities.
- Mentor engineers and establish technical patterns, tooling, and best practices for embedded and partner-surface engineering.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent related professional experience.
- At least 8 years of relevant professional experience.
- Professional software development experience building and operating full-stack services, including APIs, data models, and web applications.
- Experience owning the design and implementation of services or features in multi-service or domain environments, with accountability for quality, reliability, and operational readiness.
- Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language and associated frameworks, including the ability to design, review, and debug complex distributed systems.
- Familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, workflows, and applying AI/ML concepts to real-world products.
- Preferred experience building and shipping client-side SDKs, tags, or embeddable widgets for surfaces owned by other teams or external partners.
- Preferred strong front-end experience with React and TypeScript, including performance optimization for high-traffic consumer surfaces.
- Preferred backend experience using Java or Node in cloud-native environments.
- Preferred experience negotiating technical integration contracts and defining ownership boundaries, service levels, and fallback behavior.
- Preferred familiarity with ad technology, user targeting, and experimentation.
- Preferred production experience integrating AI or ML-enabled capabilities and using Claude, GitHub Copilot, and Cursor.
