Base Salary
$160k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Advance how tenants across multiple product domains use Hadoop Infrastructure services.
- Provide and improve capabilities for migrating and supporting a massive data and compute footprint.
- Improve tenant user experience when securely interacting with infrastructure frameworks.
- Improve the usability, reliability, and scalability of open-source Apache Hadoop services.
- Contribute to open-source software and collaborate on distributed systems and infrastructure challenges.
Requirements
- 4+ years of demonstrated experience with Java and associated technologies such as Spring, JMX, and JDBC.
- 3+ years of experience in the Hadoop ecosystem, including HBase, HDFS, and YARN.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar field, or equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge of modern development methodologies and tools including Jenkins, Maven, and Jira.
- Solid understanding of Linux, shell scripting, and operating-system troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Preferred: experience with open-source software communities and distributed systems architecture and system design.
- Preferred: knowledge of Ansible and workflow automation tools such as Airflow or Argo.

- Annual salary range of $160,000–$240,000, plus benefits and bonus.
