Base Salary
$140k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain novel, high-performance systems that make up Modal’s serverless platform.
- Build and operate large-scale distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.
- Optimize system performance and respond to production incidents during on-call rotations.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience writing high-quality production code.
- Experience building high-performance distributed systems at large scale.
- Strong cloud skills.
- Strong knowledge of low-level operating-system foundations, including the Linux kernel, file systems, and containers.
- Experience with performance engineering and demonstrated latency optimization.
- Ability to work in person in the Stockholm office.
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and respond to production incidents.
- Prior Rust experience is preferred but not required.
