Responsibilities
- Design and lead development of legal and market-communication requirements in SAP’s intelligent metering solution.
- Develop and maintain utilities applications using ABAP and related SAP technologies.
- Analyze complex customer issues and guide implementation of solutions for reliable product operation.
- Design and architect scalable, resilient AI-native application systems and components.
- Build advanced RAG pipelines and multi-agent evaluation and benchmarking frameworks.
- Optimize system latency, throughput, cost efficiency, scalability, resilience, and maintainability.
- Partner with platform, data, and AI teams on robust production-ready solutions and system integration.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to the development team.
Requirements
- Experience with distributed systems and scalable application design.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, advanced RAG patterns, agentic workflows, performance optimization, cost management, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in scalable, resilient, and fault-tolerant system design and agentic engineering patterns.
- Rich experience in ABAP development, including ABAP Objects; RAP and BOPF experience is preferred.
- UI5, Fiori, and SAP Web Services knowledge is beneficial.
- Ability to design AI-native systems, RAG pipelines, and multi-agent evaluation and benchmarking frameworks.
- Experience with production system integration, observability, high availability, application security, and AI output quality assurance.
- Utilities industry experience and knowledge of metering, device management, or energy data management are preferred.
- German language proficiency at C1 level or higher is required.
- Technical leadership and mentoring ability.
