Base Salary
$170k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and drive technical architecture and strategy across systems, teams, and products.
- Partner with engineering and product leaders on complex, high-impact initiatives.
- Set technical direction and establish engineering practices and standards.
- Mentor engineers across levels and develop technical leaders.
- Solve challenging problems involving multiple systems or domains.
- Improve performance, scalability, and security across teams and systems.
- Own major cross-team initiatives from ideation through long-term operational health.
- Evaluate and introduce tools, frameworks, and practices that improve engineering effectiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, including at least 3 years driving technical architecture or strategy across multiple teams.
- Ability to design scalable systems and architecture across multiple teams and products.
- Strong command of cloud environments including AWS, GCP, or Azure and DevOps workflows.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional influence with senior stakeholders.
- Deep expertise with Java, Spring Boot, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch for high-scale distributed data systems.
- Experience designing scalable RESTful APIs and backend architecture.
- Expert-level proficiency with JavaScript, React, and modern frontend frameworks.
- Deep experience with Redux, Zustand, React Query, and frontend performance optimization.
- Strong command of ES2015+, TypeScript, Webpack, Jest, Tailwind, and TDD practices.
- Deep understanding of browser rendering, performance tuning, and accessibility.
- Must be a U.S. citizen authorized to work in the United States.
