Responsibilities
- Improve services across their full lifecycle, from inception and design through deployment, operation, and refinement.
- Support pre-launch activities including system design consulting, software platform and framework development, capacity planning, and launch reviews.
- Measure and monitor service availability, latency, and overall system health after launch.
- Scale systems sustainably through automation and drive changes that improve reliability and development velocity.
- Practice sustainable incident response and conduct blameless postmortems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Eight years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
- Three years of experience leading projects.
- Three years of experience designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting distributed systems.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering and experience with distributed and parallel systems.
- Preferred qualifications include a systematic problem-solving approach, communication skills, ownership, and drive.
