Responsibilities
- Drive open-source strategy and contribute to industry standards including COVESA and Eclipse SDV.
- Architect and implement modular, containerized software systems for automotive and IoT platforms.
- Lead API design and integration for in-vehicle and cloud-based systems.
- Align technical vision with business goals through collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Represent the company at conferences, workshops, and community events as a technical ambassador.
- Mentor teams on DevOps, CI/CD, MISRA C compliance, embedded systems, distributed systems, and engineering best practices.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in software development and system architecture.
- Strong proficiency in C, Python, and Rust, with experience using Linux, Docker, and GitHub Actions.
- Expertise in open-source governance, FOSS strategy, and community building.
- Hands-on experience with embedded systems, RF design, and PCB layout using Altium or Orcad.
- Familiarity with AUTOSAR, IoT platforms, and API schema design.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with senior stakeholders.
- Nice-to-have experience includes commercial vehicle telematics, VSS, Google Protocol Buffers, compliance frameworks, static code analysis, self-certification processes, and technical conference speaking.
