Responsibilities
- Develop readable and maintainable code for distributed cloud services and SaaS solutions.
- Participate in and lead team discussions about software design and implementation.
- Research and communicate solutions to significant coding challenges.
- Perform code reviews, debugging, documentation, bug investigation, and resolution.
- Apply automated testing best practices to ensure code quality.
- Support production through an on-call/pager rotation.
- Mentor and coach junior developers and promote best practices and continuous improvement.
- Stay current with relevant tools, technologies, and software development processes.
Requirements
- Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written.
- Prior experience working on a platform team.
- Expertise with modern JavaScript development frameworks such as React.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services.
- Understanding of distributed systems challenges including networking, multithreading, scalability, resilience, and concurrency.
- Familiarity with unit, contract, synthetic, and other automated testing approaches.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Prior experience developing SaaS solutions using a microservices architecture.
- Experience with document-oriented databases such as MongoDB.
- Strong knowledge of modern programming paradigms, especially object-oriented programming.
- Knowledge of Web API and microservices development.
- Expertise in modern C# and the .NET platform.
- Ability to learn quickly, solve complex problems, and communicate solutions effectively.
