Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain customer-facing Android and mobile features using Kotlin, Jetpack, the Android SDK, and related Google ecosystem technologies.
- Analyze requirements, groom and decompose user stories, define acceptance criteria, and review screens, flows, and customer communications.
- Create, maintain, and execute automated and manual BDD test scripts; manage test data, document results, and maintain testing artifacts and traceability.
- Perform development, integration, functional, accessibility, and end-to-end testing; identify, triage, and fix defects.
- Support release go-lives, technical checkouts, postproduction activities, application issue analysis, and root-cause investigations.
- Write secure, stable, testable, and maintainable code; maintain feature documentation and contribute to SDLC process improvement.
- Collaborate with Scrum team members and onshore/offshore teams while tracking progress, participating in meetings, retrospectives, audits, and workshops.
- Use AI-assisted tools to support code generation, refactoring, debugging, unit test creation, API scaffolding, Angular components, and Spring Boot boilerplate code.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or a related STEM field, or comparable work experience.
- 4–7 years of professional experience in full-stack mobile development and/or testing.
- Deep understanding of the Android SDK, platform lifecycle, Google ecosystem, Jetpack, and Android Runtime.
- Basic familiarity with Behavior-Driven Development and exposure to test automation frameworks such as Selenium with Cucumber is a plus.
- Exposure to or interest in cloud-based development platforms such as OpenShift is desirable but not required.
- Basic working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to collaborate effectively, communicate well, learn quickly, work independently, and take ownership of assigned tasks.
- Familiarity with responsive web design validation and accessibility testing tools such as NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack, and Axe.
