Responsibilities
- Research, develop, verify, integrate, and test advanced signal-processing algorithms for sensing applications.
- Prototype algorithms using Python, MATLAB, and C++ for FPGA and GPU platforms and transition them to silicon-optimized production implementations.
- Build a digital twin of the sensing platform to evaluate algorithm performance and system architecture decisions.
- Define and maintain algorithmic specifications and present system performance metrics to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Work with embedded hardware to assess algorithm performance in real-world conditions and bring up new chipsets containing algorithm revisions.
- Build and deploy automation for testing, evaluation, and engineering workflows.
- Collaborate with distributed hardware, software, and systems teams throughout autonomous systems and robotics product development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in algorithm development, signal processing, and hardware-integrated systems engineering.
- Strong software engineering architecture and development skills in C, C++, and Python.
- Working knowledge of probability, statistics, and quantitative mathematics.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with hardware, software, and systems teams across distributed time zones.
- Preferred experience with sensor modeling for simulation or hardware-in-the-loop environments.
- Preferred hands-on experience with PyTorch and/or CUDA.
- Preferred background in statistical signal processing for wireless communications, RADAR/LiDAR, or equivalent domains.
- Preferred familiarity with analog/front-end electronics, noise modeling, advanced perception, coherent imaging, LiDAR, or optical physics.
- Demonstrated ability to build automation tools and quickly learn new skills, tools, and technical domains.
