Base Salary
$175k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of complex iOS features.
- Maintain code quality through code reviews, unit testing, and SOLID principles.
- Resolve bottlenecks, memory leaks, and crashes to support a 99.9% crash-free session rate.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and realistic sprint goals with Product Managers.
- Migrate legacy UIKit components to a modular, reactive architecture and design system DSL.
- Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering to build personalized, data-informed shopping experiences.
- Stay current with Apple ecosystem and Swift developments and integrate relevant technologies.
- Contribute to architectural discussions, documentation, knowledge sharing, and team growth.
- Improve the iOS application’s animations, accessibility, maintainability, and overall look and feel.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of iOS development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Swift and the ability to work in mixed Swift and Objective-C codebases.
- Strong understanding of application architecture and architectural reasoning.
- Experience with LLM coding assistants and familiarity with agentic development.
- Experience with SwiftUI, UIKit, and MVVM or similar architectural patterns.
- Experience with reactive programming using Combine, RxSwift, or ReactiveObjC.
- Experience with local persistence, caching strategies, unit testing, mocks, and test doubles.
- Understanding of dependency injection and writing testable code.
- Familiarity with modular architecture using Swift Package Manager.
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Experience migrating legacy codebases from Objective-C to Swift and UIKit to SwiftUI.
- Preferred experience in e-commerce or consumer applications.
- Preferred familiarity with analytics platforms such as Amplitude.
- Preferred experience with A/B testing or feature flagging using Optimizely or LaunchDarkly.
- Preferred experience implementing accessibility features such as VoiceOver and Dynamic Type.
- Preferred experience with native Android applications, Kotlin, or Kotlin Multiplatform.
