Responsibilities
- Drive strategies for 24x7 availability and business continuity of customer-facing healthcare applications and platforms hosted in Microsoft Azure.
- Administer Azure virtual machines, databases, networking components, and related cloud infrastructure.
- Define operating procedures that maintain security, privacy, and compliance standards for cloud-deployed digital solutions.
- Manage disaster recovery and business continuity planning and execution.
- Define operations SLAs, non-functional requirements, KPIs, service metrics, and stakeholder reporting.
- Establish monitoring dashboards and automated notification-routing workflows.
- Collaborate with DevOps Engineers to automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment.
- Participate in a weekly on-call rotation covering after-hours, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Prior experience in Site Reliability Engineering managing cloud-based infrastructure and applications.
- Enterprise engineering experience supporting 24x7 uptime in regulated environments, including product, platform, and systems planning and operations.
- Experience administering and operating Azure or AWS using cloud monitoring services.
- Working knowledge of cloud technologies, encryption, IPsec, VLANs, VPNs, routing, WAFs and firewalls, proxy services, LAN/WAN connectivity, and advanced security and threat protection.
- Systems administration experience in Windows and Linux environments.
- Proficiency with scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell and Bash.
- Azure certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, are preferred.
