Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and evolve scalable Java and Spring Boot microservices.
- Build intuitive, clear, and versioned RESTful APIs for partner-facing and internal products.
- Own services throughout their lifecycle, including Gradle builds, deployment, and 24/7 operational health.
- Use AWS and Kubernetes to build and operate resilient, distributed, compliant-by-design systems.
- Establish engineering standards through testing, code reviews, CI/CD, and observability.
- Collaborate with frontend teams to deliver cohesive end-to-end features.
- Mentor engineers and drive technical alignment and architectural decision-making across teams.
Requirements
- Seasoned Java development experience with deep Spring Boot expertise and knowledge of the modern JVM ecosystem.
- Extensive experience with microservice architectures, distributed systems, and REST API design.
- Proficiency deploying and operating applications in AWS and Kubernetes environments.
- Strong skills in CI/CD, automated testing, and observability.
- Experience with Gradle and Jackson.
- Ability to take ownership of complex technical topics from discovery through production.
- Excellent English communication skills and ability to work with engineers and stakeholders.
- Interest in frontend integration and willingness to contribute across the stack.
