Responsibilities
- Build and evolve core banking services supporting ledger operations and transactions.
- Develop a globally scalable transaction history platform and modernize regional balance-management systems.
- Solve distributed-systems challenges for resilient services handling high transaction volumes.
- Improve observability, test coverage, maintainability, and architectural patterns without disrupting live banking operations.
- Collaborate with Risk, Treasury, Finance, Infrastructure, and regional teams on reliable and compliant operations.
- Own services from design through production, including deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Solid backend experience building reliable, high-volume services with strong system design, API, data-modeling, and service-interaction skills.
- Proficiency in Golang and willingness to work with other languages such as Kotlin or Elixir.
- Ability to write maintainable, well-tested code and own software from development through production.
- Experience building, deploying, and running services in cloud environments such as AWS using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Interest in relational databases, data consistency, and high-load database performance.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across regions and teams.
- Preferred qualifications include Elixir experience, deeper PostgreSQL expertise, and experience with Kafka and observability tools such as Grafana or Honeycomb.
