Responsibilities
- Embed with enterprise customers to understand communications workflows, AI use cases, and integration challenges.
- Design and build custom implementations using AI voice assistants, Telnyx Voice, Messaging, Fax, Wireless, and WebRTC APIs.
- Deploy and operate LLM gateways, model-routing strategies, observability, governance, guardrails, and fallback systems in customer environments.
- Deploy and manage containerized services, open-weight models, hosted model integrations, and self-hosted inference stacks when required by sovereignty or air-gapped environments.
- Lead technical discovery, POCs, pilots, production launches, troubleshooting, and customer outcomes through stable go-live.
- Build prompt and RAG pipelines and evaluation harnesses for Arabic and English use cases and KSA/GCC regulatory environments.
- Create technical documentation and runbooks and collaborate with Product and Engineering on roadmap improvements based on field insights.
Requirements
- A CS degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of experience building and shipping production software.
- Proficiency in multiple languages including Python, Node.js/TypeScript, and Go.
- Practical understanding of production LLM concerns including rate limits, retries, streaming, token accounting, cost attribution, and concurrency failure modes.
- Experience deploying containerized services on Kubernetes with secrets management, configuration, and upgrades.
- Experience implementing observability with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Graylog, or ELK.
- High-concurrency experience with Kafka, message queues, or event streams, including partitioning, consumer groups, and backpressure management.
- Experience building APIs using OpenAPI, REST or GraphQL, authentication, rate limiting, versioning, and idempotency.
- Exposure to SIP, WebRTC, or real-time voice and messaging systems.
- Customer-facing engineering experience, including technical discovery, executive presentations, whiteboard sessions, troubleshooting, and escalations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Arabic.
- Based in Riyadh or willing to relocate, with willingness to work at customer sites and travel across Saudi Arabia and the broader GCC.
- Legally authorized to work in Saudi Arabia or eligible for sponsorship.
- Preferred experience includes AI voice assistants, STT/TTS, LLM conversational systems, evaluation sets, LLM gateways, open-weight models, inference serving engines, SQL, ETL, CI/CD automation, telecom or CPaaS, sovereign or on-premises deployments, and security practices such as IAM, encryption, and audit logging.
