Responsibilities
- Build robust backend services and APIs for web and mobile applications.
- Own the full development lifecycle of roadmap features, including design, development, testing, release, and post-release support.
- Gather feedback from internal users and plan platform features.
- Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote maintainable, high-quality code.
- Write automated tests and use Test-Driven Development practices.
- Participate in on-call incident response, postmortem analysis, and remediation.
- Own release processes and contribute to distributed-systems innovation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- At least 6 years of experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, or other backend engineering frameworks.
- At least 6 years of industry experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, including database design and SQL.
- Experience mentoring junior developers.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures.
- At least 3 years of experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, or CircleCI and owning release processes.
- Preferred experience with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, networking, security, and monitoring on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Preferred experience managing RabbitMQ, Kafka, or AWS SQS for asynchronous processing and inter-service communication.
- Preferred understanding of React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Preferred ability to resolve performance bottlenecks in distributed systems using profiling tools and load testing.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. now and in the future.
