Responsibilities

Educate and train employees to promote a security-conscious culture.
Advocate for policy-as-code, security automation, and secure engineering practices.
Apply AI/ML techniques to threat detection, anomaly identification, and automated security operations.
Maintain, evaluate, roll out, and improve the security technology stack.
Partner with engineering teams to embed security into product and feature design, development, and maintenance.
Manage internal efforts to resolve security incidents successfully.
Design and build tooling to automate security operations while maintaining security posture.
Define and refine measurements of security risk.
Support engineering teams in developing secure platform tooling and services.
Mentor team members and improve the technical and interpersonal effectiveness of security engineers.
Provide technical influence and security expertise to Infosec team members and stakeholders.

Extensive knowledge of security risks and mitigations for cloud-based applications and infrastructure.
Experience securing AWS infrastructure managed and provisioned using infrastructure-as-code.
Experience architecting, designing, developing, and operationalizing high-performance, scalable, reliable, and resilient services.
Experience working with and securing containers and Kubernetes.
Strong knowledge of security engineering and application security.
Strong understanding of web or mobile application security.
Experience with penetration testing, threat modeling, and architecture reviews.
Strong communication, problem-solving, analytical, and influencing skills.
Experience working with fully distributed, remote teams.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience securing large, scalable systems.
