Responsibilities
- Architect and build scalable frontend systems integrated with GraphQL APIs and real-time data streams.
- Implement responsive web applications and mobile experiences for clinician, office, and patient-facing surfaces.
- Build performant React components and interfaces for complex scheduling and logistics workflows.
- Develop and maintain the React Native mobile application used by field clinicians in real time.
- Lead frontend code reviews and establish best practices for component architecture, state management, and performance.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers on modern frontend development and healthcare application requirements.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver cohesive user experiences.
- Optimize application performance for mobile devices and variable network conditions in healthcare environments.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with a strong frontend focus.
- Expert-level proficiency in React and TypeScript using modern architectural patterns.
- Experience building and deploying React Native mobile applications.
- Hands-on experience with GraphQL client libraries, preferably Apollo Client.
- Strong understanding of web performance optimization, mobile-first development, responsive design, CSS-in-JS, and modern styling frameworks.
- Ability to lead constructive code reviews and architectural discussions.
- Strong technical communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working autonomously in fast-paced, high-growth startup environments.
- Healthcare application experience involving HIPAA and SOC-2 compliance is a plus.
- Familiarity with logistics, scheduling, workforce management, real-time features, design systems, component libraries, accessibility standards, and inclusive design is a plus.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL, AWS, Datadog, and Sentry is a plus.
