Base Salary
$75k - $245k/yr
Responsibilities
- Evaluate requirements, propose solutions, and explore design tradeoffs.
- Design navigation, autonomy, guidance, and control algorithms using modern theory and proven techniques.
- Develop embedded software from prototype algorithms for real-time systems.
- Analyze designs and execute software tests to demonstrate performance, functionality, and compliance with requirements.
- Evaluate results, identify problem causes, and develop solutions for inefficiencies or other problems.
- Prepare technical data, procedures, reports, drawings, manuals, and other documentation.
- Communicate with customers and stakeholders about requirements, designs, and deliverables.
- Track project priorities, scope, schedule, and cost.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of software engineering or related experience.
- Strong programming skills in MATLAB, Simulink, Python, and C/C++.
- Knowledge of autonomy and GNC algorithms, real-time software development tools, and real-time algorithm and software validation.
- Familiarity with trajectory optimization, optimal control, control systems, and trajectory design or optimization algorithms.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, project execution, and teamwork skills.
- A master's or PhD in a related field is preferred.
- Secret security clearance is preferred; selected applicants must obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
