Responsibilities
- Develop infrastructure as code to automate provisioning and embed security and compliance guardrails.
- Design, deploy, administer, and optimize secure, scalable, high-performance AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Create reusable cloud patterns, templates, accelerators, and modules for faster cloud-service adoption.
- Implement IAM, encryption, network security controls, vulnerability management, compliance controls, and penetration testing.
- Monitor infrastructure performance, user feedback, metrics, resilience, and cloud costs.
- Automate tasks and infrastructure operations using Python, PowerShell, Bash, Terraform, and related tools.
- Troubleshoot, patch, and enhance systems and software programs, including cloud-native and modernized legacy applications.
- Collaborate with developers, platform teams, and other stakeholders; manage and prioritize the product backlog.
- Document cloud compute platforms, provide technical mentoring, and transfer knowledge to technology resources.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership in designing, implementing, and optimizing AWS infrastructure solutions.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of infrastructure engineering experience, including at least 2 years with AWS cloud technologies and architecture.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Hands-on proficiency with Terraform infrastructure as code and Python.
- Experience with Bitbucket Pipelines or a similar CI/CD toolchain.
- Knowledge of Ansible configuration management is strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of AWS services including EC2, EKS, ALB/ELB, Security Groups, Firewall Manager, WAF, S3, Lambda, and IAM.
- Microsoft Azure cloud, governance, security, and infrastructure automation experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience transforming legacy applications to cloud-native architectures.
- Understanding of cloud solutions, architecture concepts, automation technologies, Agile and DevOps operating models, and related tools.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.
