Responsibilities
- Design and develop embedded firmware for sensor applications, including sensor interfacing, data acquisition, signal processing, and RF protocol stack implementation.
- Architect and implement real-time firmware solutions for sensor data acquisition, analysis, and control.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to define system requirements and integrate firmware with sensor hardware.
- Optimize firmware for low-power operation, resource-constrained environments, and real-time communication.
- Develop and maintain firmware drivers and libraries for common sensor types across different platforms.
- Test and validate firmware functionality, performance, and reliability, resolving issues through iterative refinement.
- Stay current with sensor technology, embedded systems, and firmware development practices.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of embedded firmware development experience focused on sensor applications and real-time systems.
- Proficiency in C and C++ for embedded systems, including firmware development for microcontrollers and SoCs.
- Proficiency with I2C, UART, GPIO, ADC, and SPI hardware interfaces.
- Experience with FreeRTOS, Zephyr, and TI RTOS.
- Experience using logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and device programmers.
- Deep understanding of analog and digital sensor interfaces, data formats, and signal processing techniques.
- Experience with accelerometers, gyroscopes, temperature sensors, pressure sensors, proximity sensors, and environmental sensors.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is valued.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and technical presentation skills.
