Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain efficient, scalable backend services using modern tools and frameworks.
- Own core components of the indexing infrastructure.
- Collaborate with engineers to define, design, and ship new features.
- Optimize performance and scalability across data processing pipelines.
- Integrate with third-party data providers and use their APIs effectively.
- Review code and contribute to code quality and maintainability.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and other agile development processes.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Backend Software Engineer, ideally in a scale-up or fast-growing environment.
- Strong experience with concurrent and parallel programming and writing correct, efficient code under load.
- High proficiency in Python; experience with Rust or Go is welcomed.
- Solid experience working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
- Comfort with modern web architectures and cloud platforms.
- Experience with information retrieval or search systems is a plus.
- Clear communication, collaborative working style, ownership, and ability to work independently.
