Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain efficient, scalable backend services using modern tools and frameworks.
- Own core components of the indexing infrastructure.
- Collaborate with engineers to define, design, and ship new features.
- Optimize performance and scalability across data-processing pipelines.
- Integrate with third-party data providers and use their APIs.
- Review code and contribute to code quality and maintainability.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and other agile development processes.
- Stay current with industry trends and technologies.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Backend Software Engineer, ideally in a scale-up or fast-growing environment.
- High proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Python, Rust, Go, or C++.
- Solid experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with modern web architectures and cloud platforms.
- Ability to solve complex problems and optimize performance at scale.
- Clear communication, collaboration, ownership, and independent working ability.
- Experience with information retrieval or search systems is preferred.
