Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality native Android applications.
- Build scalable and maintainable solutions using modern Android architecture.
- Lead technical design discussions and contribute to system architecture decisions.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Backend, QA, and iOS teams.
- Write clean, testable, reusable code and participate in code reviews.
- Optimize application performance, memory usage, startup time, and battery consumption.
- Integrate RESTful APIs and collaborate with backend teams on API design.
- Ensure application stability through unit, UI, and integration testing.
- Mentor junior developers and promote engineering excellence.
- Drive technical improvements and help establish engineering standards.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and good knowledge of Java.
- Strong experience with native Android development, the Android SDK, and Jetpack libraries.
- Deep understanding of the Android application lifecycle, platform internals, and Android components.
- Experience with Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, WorkManager, Navigation Component, ViewModel, and dependency injection using Hilt or Dagger.
- Strong understanding of MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture, modular architecture, SOLID principles, and separation of concerns.
- Experience designing scalable mobile architectures and making architectural trade-offs.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON serialization, authentication flows, network caching, and backend integration.
- Understanding of UI rendering performance, memory management, concurrency, startup optimization, battery optimization, ANR prevention, profiling, and debugging.
- Experience with unit, UI, and integration testing, TDD, and mocking frameworks.
- Experience with Git, pull request workflows, code reviews, and CI-friendly development practices.
- Preferred experience with native iOS development using Swift or SwiftUI.
- Preferred experience with FinTech or financial applications, offline-first applications, local persistence, analytics platforms, A/B testing, experimentation frameworks, feature flags, and mobile security practices.
- 5+ years of professional Android development experience, plus experience delivering production applications at scale, mentoring engineers, conducting code reviews, and owning features through production release.
