Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services while contributing to frontend features where required.
- Build high-quality, well-tested software using modern engineering and DevOps practices.
- Contribute to architecture, system design, and technical decision-making across the platform.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to deliver impactful solutions.
- Review code, mentor teammates, and improve engineering standards.
- Troubleshoot production issues and improve system performance, reliability, and scalability.
Requirements
- 5–6+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong backend focus and frontend exposure.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, React, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and AWS.
- Experience designing scalable systems and distributed architectures.
- Daily experience using AI coding tools such as Cursor and Claude Code.
- Strong understanding of Test-Driven Development, software engineering best practices, and clean code principles.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Bonus qualifications include Docker and Kubernetes experience, Agile experience with Scrum or Kanban, and experience building highly scalable SaaS platforms.
