Responsibilities
- Develop embedded systems using Yocto.
- Develop and maintain Linux kernel extensions and integrate third-party drivers.
- Contribute patches and other work to the Linux kernel and Yocto open-source communities.
- Develop and configure system tools and bootloaders.
- Bring up prototype boards with hardware and embedded software teams.
- Debug and resolve field issues such as kernel crashes.
- Interact with technical staff using the Yocto-based distribution.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in Linux kernel development and contributions to the Linux kernel community, including patch submissions.
- Experience working with Yocto and the Yocto community.
- Experience developing in embedded Linux environments.
- Proficiency in open-source community norms and behaviors, including those of Linux kernel developers and related system tool communities.
- Strong communication skills.
