Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design and evolve architectures for scalable agent orchestration and distributed mission-focused software systems.
- Create and maintain architecture products, interface specifications, and system design documentation.
- Guide engineering teams through design decisions, code reviews, and implementation.
- Evaluate technical tradeoffs and translate mission or stakeholder needs into actionable system requirements and architecture direction.
- Support real-time, event-driven, streaming, and multi-source data integration capabilities.
- Work with engineering teams and mission partners to shape technical direction and system designs.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience designing, developing, or integrating software systems, including leading architecture efforts for distributed or mission-focused platforms.
- Experience with modern software development using Java, C++, or Python and secure coding and integration practices.
- Experience with real-time or event-driven data processing, streaming, or multi-source data integration patterns.
- Experience creating architecture products, interface specifications, or system design documentation for complex software ecosystems.
- Experience guiding engineering teams through design decisions, code reviews, and implementation in Agile environments.
- TS/SCI clearance or eligibility to access classified information.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology, or 10+ years of software engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
- Preferred experience with agent-based or distributed decision systems, orchestration, autonomous component coordination, physics-informed analytics, signal processing, multi-INT data fusion, Pulsar, Kafka, secure cloud environments, Kubernetes, Terraform, model-driven or AI-assisted capabilities, and mentoring engineering teams.
- Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
