Responsibilities
- Build Airwallex’s own 3D Secure infrastructure service for payment processing and transaction security.
- Collaborate with systems and engineering teams to establish the foundation for global payment infrastructure.
- Work with engineering teams across Airwallex’s global offices.
- Collaborate with users and financial partners to support seamless integrations.
- Design, develop, and maintain APIs, services, and systems for reliable payment processing.
- Troubleshoot production issues across different levels of the stack.
- Own and optimize critical components of Airwallex’s online payment processing flow.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of engineering experience, or 5 years for the senior level.
- Strong system design and systems-thinking skills, particularly for complex financial-industry systems.
- Ability to write high-quality code and documentation, with a preference for Kotlin.
- High standards for production systems and adherence to engineering, security, and design best practices.
- Familiarity with Spring or Spring Boot is a bonus.
- Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, or other modern programming languages is a bonus.
- Proficiency with HTTP protocol and RESTful specifications is a bonus.
- Familiarity with OAuth2.0 and JWT is a bonus.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, or NoSQL is a bonus.
- Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ is a bonus.
- Familiarity with Nginx or Istio is a bonus.
- Experience with Aliyun Cloud, GCP, or AWS is a bonus.
- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining complex public API products with user integration guides is a bonus.
- Fluent English communication is a bonus.
