Responsibilities
- Build infrastructure services that improve payment processing capabilities, security, and customer trust.
- Collaborate with systems and engineering teams across Airwallex’s global offices to establish the foundation for global payment infrastructure.
- Work with users and financial partners to ensure seamless integrations.
- Design, develop, and maintain APIs, services, and systems supporting reliable payment processing flows.
- Troubleshoot production issues across different levels of the technology stack.
- Own and optimize critical components of Airwallex’s online payment processing flow.
Requirements
- Minimum five years of engineering experience.
- Strong systems-design skills, particularly for complex financial-industry systems.
- Ability to write high-quality code and documentation, with a preference for Kotlin.
- High standards for production systems and engineering, security, and design practices.
- Collaborative decision-making skills when working with diverse stakeholders and subject matter experts.
- Preferred experience with Spring or Spring Boot.
- Preferred proficiency in Java, Kotlin, or other modern programming languages.
- Preferred knowledge of HTTP protocol, OAuth2.0, JWT, PostgreSQL, Redis, NoSQL, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Nginx, Istio, Aliyun Cloud, GCP, or AWS.
- Preferred experience designing, implementing, and maintaining complex public API products with user integration guides.
