Responsibilities
- Build and maintain custom AWS Controllers for Kubernetes to automate AWS service provisioning.
- Develop sophisticated operators for managing complex AWS infrastructure lifecycles.
- Design CRDs that simplify AWS complexity for developers.
- Implement service mesh solutions for traffic management and security.
- Automate EKS cluster provisioning and lifecycle management.
- Create GitOps workflows for declarative infrastructure management.
- Develop user-friendly interfaces that abstract AWS complexity.
- Build systems for automatic infrastructure documentation.
Requirements
- 4+ years of AWS experience with services like EKS, VPC, IAM, and RDS.
- Experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio or Envoy.
- Expertise in container orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
- 7+ years of Kubernetes experience, including custom controller development.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes internals and API server operations.
- Experience with GitOps tools like ArgoCD or Flux.
- Cloud-native security expertise with tools like SPIFFE/SPIRE.
- Mentoring experience with junior engineers.
