Responsibilities
- Manage and innovate Databricks Unity Catalog and Collibra data governance platforms.
- Support data engineers and technical stakeholders in creating governed data solutions and products.
- Implement data lineage tracking, audit logging, access monitoring, and self-service data access capabilities.
- Integrate Unity Catalog with Collibra, RDM, and other data governance and management tools.
- Improve platform availability and stability through monitoring, reliability management, and automation on Azure Cloud.
- Perform operations and service delivery activities including change management, configuration management, lifecycle management, and complex incident and problem resolution.
- Maintain platform security and compliance according to company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree and 5+ years of experience in data platform engineering or data governance roles in large-scale enterprise environments.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience with Databricks Unity Catalog, including configuration, automation, and policy enforcement.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps.
- Strong understanding of metadata management, data lineage, and data cataloging concepts.
- Knowledge of data access patterns, RBAC/ABAC models, and security best practices for cloud data platforms.
- Good spoken and written English, problem-solving ability, collaboration skills, and communication skills.
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum methods.
