Base Salary
$110k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, program, test, and commission PLC and HMI software for custom automation systems.
- Integrate robots, motion systems, vision systems, sensors, and safety devices into automation solutions.
- Troubleshoot and support machine startup, commissioning, and customer acceptance testing.
- Develop control specifications and software documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver complete automation solutions.
- Lead controls engineering efforts on complex projects and mentor engineers.
- Provide technical direction and support proposal development, project planning, and customer technical discussions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Software or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience in a related field.
- At least 7 years of professional hands-on Software Controls Engineering experience.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Experience programming industrial automation systems using PLCs, HMIs, and industrial software platforms.
- Proficiency with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Ignition, FANUC, ABB, Epson, or Denso systems and related motion control, vision, and industrial networking technologies.
- Familiarity with Python, C, C++, C#, or similar programming languages.
- Experience with Windows, Linux, VMware, Hyper-V, and VirtualBox environments.
- Experience commissioning and troubleshooting automated equipment.
- Ability to travel for work-related purposes, with reliable transportation; up to 20% travel may be required.
- Background checks are required; an MSEE is a plus.
