Responsibilities
- Build and evolve the Neo4j Graph Analytics for Snowflake application by embedding Neo4j Graph Data Science into Snowflake.
- Design and improve the SQL-facing API, including stored procedures, UDFs, and warehouse-facing customer interfaces.
- Own significant portions of the build, release, and deployment pipeline, including Snowflake CLI, Gradle, container images, and Java/Python runtimes.
- Improve application security through rights management, grants, restricted caller’s rights, and proactive image scanning.
- Collaborate with customers and Solution Engineers to translate requirements into scalable features.
- Contribute to operational excellence through runbooks, release processes, observability, and reproducible development environments.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional experience building and shipping production-quality software.
- Strong SQL skills and experience integrating with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks.
- Proficiency in at least one of Java or Python, with willingness to work effectively in both.
- Experience owning build pipelines, container images, releases, and the operational side of a product.
- Experience designing software for performance, scalability, and predictable cost on cloud infrastructure.
- Preferred experience with Snowflake Native Apps, Snowpark Container Services, stored procedures, UDFs, Docker, OCI image registries, or security scanning tools.
- Preferred understanding of graph theory and graph algorithms such as centrality, community detection, pathfinding, and embeddings.
- Distributed systems, JVM performance tuning, or columnar and analytical query engine experience is a plus.
- Experience working in distributed, remote-first teams and shipping products to enterprise customers is preferred.
