Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders to understand requirements and develop solutions for complex business challenges.
- Design, develop, test, and support reliable, highly performant distributed Java applications.
- Build and support real-time streaming applications handling high-volume and concurrent workloads.
- Present designs to technical reviewers and contribute to design and code reviews.
- Improve application reliability, observability, and performance.
- Support production releases and help the team meet service-level agreements.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of development experience, ideally in the financial services industry, with Java as the primary programming language.
- Strong analytical capability and attention to detail.
- Collaborative, adaptable, and open to different perspectives and ways of working.
- Clear communication and strong interpersonal skills.
- High integrity and alignment with BlackRock’s fiduciary culture.
- Desirable experience includes Spring, Spring Boot, microservices, enterprise container orchestration, observability, monitoring, distributed tracing, DevOps tools, streaming technologies, cloud technologies, and AI for code generation or AI-agent development.
