Responsibilities
- Create a wide variety of software applications and rapid prototypes for faculty, students, and staff.
- Research, explore, and experiment with new technologies to assess their usefulness.
- Develop projects such as full-stack websites, data visualizations, web scraping and data processing tools, mobile apps, AR/VR applications, and computer vision or AI projects.
- Work with 3D models, microcontrollers, and VR headsets.
- Organize and communicate development processes and project requirements.
- Work collaboratively and independently while meeting deadlines and delivering working prototypes on short timeframes.
Requirements
- Basic programming knowledge and aptitude.
- Ability and willingness to work collaboratively and independently.
- Ability to research, explore, and learn new technologies.
- Ability to organize and communicate development processes and project requirements.
- Ability to work within deadlines and produce working prototypes on short timeframes.
- No prior software development experience is necessary, but applicants should be comfortable with basic programming.
- Applicants should be sophomores or younger.
- Preferred: experience with Git and version control.
- Preferred: Adobe Suite experience, including Photoshop or Premiere.
- Preferred: graphic design, 3D modeling, or animation experience.
- Preferred: experience finding or training custom AI models.
