Responsibilities
- Conduct and execute key DevOps projects from planning through delivery and guide technical decision-making.
- Align DevOps strategies with company goals and advise on best practices and tooling.
- Maintain high-availability production systems and improve their stability and scalability.
- Analyze and optimize high-performance, high-traffic systems at the operating-system and application levels.
- Prototype, establish, and fine-tune tools that improve performance and developer productivity.
- Maintain and improve automated development processes and workflows using tools such as GitHub Actions, Helm, ArgoCD, Ansible, Docker, Webpack, and Fastlane.
- Collaborate with game development, community, product, and sister-studio teams.
- Share knowledge gained through conferences and training with the team.
Requirements
- Excellent skills in IT maintenance, database and network architecture, systems integration, automation, and system administration.
- Experience administering Debian and Linux systems.
- Experience with high-load and high-availability systems and load optimization.
- Experience with cloud systems, ideally Google Cloud, and related tools such as Terraform and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of modern build systems, technology stacks, and toolchains.
- Good skills in Java or another high-level programming language.
- Experience shipping, developing, and running at least one commercial product or game.
- Ability to articulate and document technical designs clearly and analytically.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Additional valued qualifications include passion for video games, knowledge of multiplayer PvP and online game development practices, and familiarity with agile and Scrum-based environments.
