Responsibilities
- Partner directly with customers to translate business and data challenges into scalable, maintainable technical solutions.
- Design, build, and optimize data platforms and pipelines primarily on Google Cloud Platform.
- Implement batch and real-time ingestion, transformation, orchestration, governance, observability, and data-serving solutions.
- Contribute to data lake, warehouse, lakehouse, modernization, and legacy-platform migration initiatives.
- Build prototypes, proofs of concept, minimum viable products, and production-oriented solutions using customer data.
- Own delivery workstreams from technical discovery and solution design through implementation, testing, deployment, and stabilization.
- Build production engineering capabilities including infrastructure as code, automated testing, monitoring, security, IAM, data quality, lineage, and operational supportability.
- Optimize data workloads for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost.
- Build data foundations and integrations for machine learning and generative AI solutions.
- Capture reusable patterns and contribute code, architectures, automation, and frameworks across engineering and delivery teams.
Requirements
- Demonstrable expertise in Python or another modern language such as C#, Node.js, or TypeScript.
- Experience with software delivery lifecycle practices, Git, GitHub, Pandas, and Spark.
- Experience with cloud AI platforms and distributed computing architectures, including AWS, Azure, or Google AI.
- Experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch is a plus.
- Familiarity with Hugging Face and related open-source AI tools and libraries is preferred.
- Experience with multi-agent systems, orchestration frameworks, agent protocols, or coordination mechanisms is preferred.
- Practical knowledge of retrieval-augmented generation architectures and structured and unstructured knowledge integration is preferred.
- Knowledge of performance optimization and security practices for scalable AI systems is preferred.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and communicate with diverse and executive stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel and work on customer premises as required.
- Degree-level qualification in Computer Science, Informatics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
