Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, test, and QA software applications or operating systems.
  • Build enhancements within existing software architectures and recommend architectural improvements.
  • Architect and build large-scale cloud services and enterprise distributed or cloud-native systems.
  • Influence full-system architecture and provide leadership in developing new products, services, and processes.
  • Develop and ship software using Java or similar object-oriented languages, microservices frameworks, Kubernetes, and Docker.
  • Apply identity and security technologies including OAuth2, OIDC, and SAML.
  • Use CI/CD technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, or Jenkins.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or a BS/MS degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • At least 8 years of software engineering or related experience.
  • The job-specific requirements call for 10 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the offered position or a related Software Developer occupation.
  • Strong understanding of system design fundamentals and distributed-systems architecture best practices.
  • Ability to write code in Java or similar object-oriented languages.
  • Experience architecting and building large-scale cloud services.
  • Experience with web application development using microservices frameworks.
  • Experience with containers and container orchestration technologies, including Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Experience with identity and security technologies such as OAuth2, OIDC, or SAML.
  • Experience developing and shipping enterprise distributed or cloud-native systems.
  • Experience with CI/CD technologies including Terraform, Ansible, or Jenkins.
  • Ability to provide technical leadership, operate at the leading edge of technology, and justify major changes to products, services, or processes.
