Senior Software Engineer - Backend - Multi-Product Platform (Customer Journey)

Responsibilities
- Build and iterate on product offerings, APIs, platforms, frameworks, and tools.
- Design, develop, and maintain feature buildouts supporting a high-quality customer experience.
- Build systems that streamline customer onboarding and proof-of-value experiences.
- Ensure the stability and reliability of delivered systems.
- Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and the team-wide on-call rotation.
- Write readable, testable production code that accounts for edge cases and errors.
- Write and review technical design documents.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers on projects and roadmaps.
- Own projects, drive positive impact, and contribute to long-term planning and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- 7+ years of industry experience with strong software engineering fundamentals.
- Strong production Python experience and experience working with Postgres databases.
- Experience designing resilient, scalable applications with a focus on operational excellence.
- Ability to own and drive complex systems end to end and influence cross-team goals and roadmaps.
- Strong understanding of service health, monitoring, fault tolerance, and incident response practices.
- Ability to make practical technical trade-offs, write technical design documents, and lead adoption of proposed solutions.
- Strong attention to code quality, testing, performance, and edge cases.
- Strong communication, mentorship, autonomy, and asynchronous collaboration skills.
- Golang and Airflow orchestration experience are preferred.
- Familiarity with ChatGPT, Cursor, and other GenAI productivity tools is preferred.
