Base Salary

$108k - $205k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements definition, architecture, and low-level design of embedded product cybersecurity software.
  • Ensure cybersecurity requirements and airworthiness standards are satisfied, including MIL-STD-516 and/or DO-178.
  • Lead vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, fuzzing, resiliency testing, and other security evaluations.
  • Develop, deploy, and automate cybersecurity tools.
  • Promote adoption of the Avionics Secure Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Coach and delegate work to lower-level professionals, review technical output, and identify process improvements.
  • Support development and certification of control and diagnostic systems for aircraft engines and related applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics and 8 years of engineering experience, or an advanced degree and 5 years of experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required because the role requires a U.S. government security clearance.
  • An active and existing DoD Secret security clearance is required after day 1.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.
  • Preferred familiarity with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and Risk Management Framework.
  • Preferred experience or exposure to cybersecurity process, governance, policies, and key management lifecycle.
  • Preferred background in aviation safety processes and ability to work across organizational boundaries.
