Responsibilities
- Lead integrated end-to-end systems design and implementation across infrastructure, platform, and application layers.
- Perform requirements analysis, decomposition, traceability, interface management, systems analysis, trade studies, and capacity planning.
- Plan and execute integration, verification, and validation activities and manage system availability, performance, security, and corrective actions.
- Architect and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines with security testing, container scanning, secrets management, compliance verification, and deployment automation.
- Implement infrastructure as code and policy-as-code for cloud and hybrid environments and harden operating systems, containers, and platforms.
- Support RMF/ATO documentation, vulnerability management, remediation tracking, and audit evidence generation.
- Develop and maintain full-stack applications, APIs, internal tools, dashboards, automation utilities, and supporting data layers.
- Lead projects through deployment and sustainment, participate in technical reviews, and mentor junior engineers and developers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field with nine or more years of related experience, or a master's degree with seven or more years of related experience.
- Strong experience with DevOps/SecDevOps tools, secure CI/CD pipelines, scripting, full-stack development, APIs, cloud services, systems engineering, server engineering, virtualization, and enterprise networking.
- Experience with security hardening baselines including DISA STIGs and CIS Benchmarks, vulnerability management, and secure coding practices.
- Preferred qualifications include security, DevOps, or cloud certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CKA/CKS, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or AWS Certified Security – Specialty.
- Preferred experience includes Terraform or CloudFormation, OPA or Sentinel, RMF/ATO, NIST SP 800-53, FedRAMP, microservices, container orchestration, API gateways, MBSE, DOORS, Jama, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Splunk.
- Current DHS Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain one is required before starting; an active security clearance or ability to obtain one is also preferred.
