Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of integrated systems spanning infrastructure, platforms, and applications.
- Perform systems requirements analysis, decomposition, traceability, interface management, integration, verification, and validation.
- Design and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines with security testing, container scanning, secrets management, and compliance controls.
- Implement infrastructure-as-code and policy-as-code automation for cloud and hybrid environments.
- Harden operating systems, containers, and platforms and automate security compliance verification.
- Support RMF/ATO documentation, vulnerability management, remediation tracking, and audit evidence generation.
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications, APIs, dashboards, internal tools, and automation utilities.
- Monitor integrated systems, lead root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions for availability, performance, and security.
- Lead projects through deployment and sustainment, participate in technical reviews, and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field with nine or more years of related experience, or a master's degree with seven or more years of related experience.
- Strong expertise with DevOps/SecDevOps tools, secure CI/CD pipelines, scripting, full-stack development, RESTful APIs, cloud services, and systems engineering.
- Experience with Linux and/or Windows server engineering, virtualization, enterprise or hybrid networks, security hardening, vulnerability management, and cloud security services.
- Preferred experience includes Terraform or CloudFormation, OPA or Sentinel, RMF/ATO, NIST SP 800-53, FedRAMP, MBSE, DOORS or Jama, and observability tools.
- Preferred certifications include CISSP, Security+, CKA/CKS, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or AWS Certified Security – Specialty.
- Must hold or be able to obtain a DHS Public Trust clearance before starting.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, project leadership, and mentoring skills.
