Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, maintain, deploy, monitor, and support scalable application and platform capabilities.
- Build backend services, APIs, frontend components, integrations, and reusable application patterns for cohesive product experiences.
- Develop modern API capabilities using C#, .NET 10, Entity Framework Core, and SignalR.
- Design and support Azure-hosted applications, deployment automation, environment management, monitoring, and production diagnostics.
- Modernize applications through refactoring, technical debt reduction, framework upgrades, and migration from legacy patterns.
- Integrate data services, search, agentic and AI-enabled capabilities, workflow configurations, authentication patterns, and enterprise systems.
- Use AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, debugging, documentation, refactoring, and engineering analysis while maintaining quality and security standards.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, planning, estimation, and implementation decisions.
- Own features, services, defects, and technical improvements from design through production support.
- Contribute to automated testing, observability, reliability, performance, availability, scalability, and secure development practices.
- Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Security, Platform Reliability, Data & AI Engineering, and regional teams.
- Mentor less experienced engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, pairing, and shared engineering practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience developing production software in application engineering, software engineering, platform engineering, or related technical roles.
- Strong production experience developing backend applications and services using C# and modern .NET.
- Experience designing APIs and building distributed or service-oriented application capabilities.
- Deep understanding of SQL and database optimization.
- Experience building, modernizing, or operating scalable production web applications supporting complex workflows, collaboration, reporting, document review, or customer-facing delivery.
- Experience building and supporting APIs, backend services, frontend components, integrations, and application capabilities in production environments.
- Experience developing, deploying, and supporting cloud-hosted applications, with practical Microsoft Azure experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of software design, testing, code quality, maintainability, security, and performance.
- Experience with automated testing, source control, code review, and modern software delivery practices.
- Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted development tools or LLM-enabled coding workflows.
- Ability to collaborate with Product, Architecture, Security, Platform Reliability, and cross-functional stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
- Strong English communication skills and ability to work effectively across globally distributed teams.
- Preferred experience with Search, RAG, AI integration technologies, SignalR, WebSockets, React, Blazor, low-code or hybrid development environments, and product-led or platform-based organizations.
- Preferred experience with due diligence, document review, workflow, reporting, Q&A, risk management, transaction delivery, enterprise interoperability, multi-cloud environments, AWS, or application modernization.
- Experience or background in energy, infrastructure, renewables, assurance, certification, or other technically complex industries is preferred.
