Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, operate, and maintain software products.
- Take full-stack ownership by writing production-ready and testable code.
- Create scalable, reliable, and high-performing designs aligned with architectural best practices.
- Make coding and design decisions with customer experience as a priority.
- Participate in code reviews and apply feedback to meet engineering standards and compliance procedures.
- Ensure product development follows compliance and security best practices.
- Apply software reliability engineering standards throughout development.
- Contribute to technology transformation, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Prioritize and size tasks for incremental delivery and communicate blockers or delays.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Five to seven years of relevant experience.
- Five or more years of experience with Pega Infinity 8.x or later and supporting frameworks such as CPM and Collections.
- Pega Certified System Architect (CSSA) certification or higher is strongly preferred.
- Experience with DevOps CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments.
- Object-oriented programming experience with Java or .NET.
- Experience administering and tuning Tomcat and IBM WebSphere.
- Experience with Web Services, WSDL, SOAP, JMS, Tibco middleware, REST, and GraphQL.
- Database connectivity experience, preferably with IBM UDB 10.x or later and PostgreSQL.
- Experience with AWS telephony integrations, including IVR, screen-pop, chat, and softphone.
- Experience working with Agile methodology.
- Experience developing and integrating complex software solutions in financial services; credit card and collections experience is a plus.
- Pega Customer Decision Hub experience is preferred.
- Exposure to event-driven architecture, Kafka, and streaming integrations is preferred.
- Experience with cloud-native deployments using AWS, Azure, or PegaCloud and modernization initiatives is preferred.
- Experience with Pega Deployment Manager, containerized deployments, and Ansible scripting is preferred.
